When I think of where we were 30 years ago and where we are now, I feel so much anger and frustration towards the greed and self-serving attitude of the career politicians in Congress that are driving the nation we love to its knees.
Over and over people say "Vote them out." and I want to scream in frustration as I realize how well the politicians hidden from so many the fact that they have broken the voting system. The parties have become so powerful and polarized that people are stuck voting for a corrupt incumbent or supporting the party they disdain.
The lobbyists are pouring $3,200,000,000 annually into Congress and Congress is bowing down to their every need, while 80% of Americans fall further and further below the cost of living each year; finding it more and more difficult to make ends meet.
They are DESTROYING our nation while we sit idly by and watch and whine... The time for whining is OVER!
It is time to STAND UP and be an AMERICAN! It is time to show the STRENGTH and COURAGE than won our independence and caused our growth into the greatest nation on earth. It is time to show our government that WE THE PEOPLE are the strength of this nation and WE WILL BE HEARD!
The first and most vital, strategic step to return our government to a representative body is to cut the head from the snake. We must impose Term Limits for US Congress to rid ourselves of the most powerful, career politicians that are guiding our nation towards destruction.
With the second option of Article 5, the people and the States can supersede the authority of Congress; adding a Term Limits Amendment to the Constitution; and Congress has no authority to stop it.
