Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump signed a sweeping executive order Tuesday at the Environmental Protection Agency, which officials said looks to curb the federal government's enforcement of climate regulations by putting American jobs above addressing climate change.

The order represents a clear difference between how Trump and former President Barack Obama view the role the United States plays in combating climate change, and dramatically alters the government's approach to rising sea levels and temperatures -- two impacts of climate change.
Trump said during the signing that the order will "eliminate federal overreach" and "start a new era of production and job creation."

"My action today is latest in steps to grow American jobs," Trump added, saying his order is "ending the theft of prosperity."

A White House official briefed on the plan said Monday the administration believes the government can both "serve the environment and increase energy independence at the same time" by urging the EPA for focus on what the administration believes is its core mission: Clean air and clean water.
The Paris Agreement is bigger than Trump... isn't it?

More important than regulating climate change, the official said, is protecting American jobs.

The highly secretive intelligence operative known as “QAnon” set off an Internet firestorm on Friday by posting a cryptic message on 8chan suggesting it was no coincidence that Eric Schmidt resigned as the executive chairman of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, around the same time President Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, Jerome Corsi notes.

The executive order allows the Treasury Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of State, to confiscate the U.S. assets of anyone materially assisting, sponsoring, or providing financial, material, or technological support to those engaged in human rights abuses and/or corruption.

An annex published by the Treasury Department simultaneous with Trump signing the executive order made clear Trump has empowered the Treasury Department to implement the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act by confiscating the assets of “malign actors worldwide” who violate this act.

Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act was passed to replace the Jackson-Vanik Amendment from the Cold War aimed at imposing trade sanctions forcing the Soviet Union to allow Jews and other minorities to emigrate, with a more current punishment denying access to the U.S. banking system to international criminals guilty of abusing human rights – an act named to honor Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky who died in a Russian prison in 2009 after trying to expose corruption and human rights violations in Russia.

The New York Post speculated that Schmidt’s “womanizing” lifestyle began in 2012 after deciding to live apart from Wendy Schmidt, his wife of 37 years. Already researchers are establishing that various of the thirteen named by Treasury have close ties to the Clintons through their generous contributions to the Clinton Foundation and/or the Clinton Global Initiative.

Others point to the close relationship that exists between the Clintons and Schmidt that date back to 2008 when Schmidt loaned the Google jet to members of Clinton’s presidential campaign staff.

In the 2016 presidential campaign, leaked emails from Clinton campaign manager John Podesta published by WikiLeaks made clear that Schmidt wanted to play the role of Clinton’s “head outside advisor,” ready to lend to the Clinton campaign Google’s powerful micro-targeting data to develop software to be used in “get out the vote” (GOTV) and campaign fundraising efforts.

Clearly, the executive order should concern those engaged in international sex trafficking.

FBI Asst Director McCabe Makes a Big Admission About The ‘Trump Dossier’

The FBI is admitting that most of the charges against the Trump Administration that stem from the infamous “dossier” are unsubstantiated.

Officials declined to repudiate the document in full, but said that most of the charges of elections collusion have so far been unproven, The Washington Times reports. The dossier first made its way into the public almost a year and a half ago.

This frank admission comes after scores of hours of testimony from key witnesses before the House Intelligence Committee. It’s most recent appearance was by FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. He spent eight hours in a closed-door session last week.

During his testimony, McCabe declined to criticize the dossier’s 35 pages of salacious and criminal charges against Donald Trump and his aides, but he said it remains largely unverified, according to a source familiar with ongoing congressional inquiries.

Sources speculated to The Washington Times that it would be embarrassing for Mr. McCabe to condemn a political opposition research paper on which his agents based decisions to open a counterintelligence investigation and interview witnesses. Some press reports said the FBI cited the dossier’s information in requests for court-approved wiretaps.

McCabe is retiring early next year, sources say.

The Times reports that Michael E. Horowitz, the Justice Department’s inspector general is investigating whether or not McCabe should have recused

McCabe made the investigation public shortly after the inauguration and his probe quickly widened into whether or not the FBI investigation into suspected Trump-Russia collusion is rigged.

It centers on the FBI’s Peter Strzok, the lead agent in the Trump case until special counsel Robert Mueller fired him in July. The reason: He sent a number of text messages ridiculing Mr. Trump to Lisa Page, his FBI lover. He texted about a meeting with “Andy” — apparently Mr. McCabe — in which it was discussed that Mr. Trump had no chance of winning, but there was a risk he might.

“I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Mr. Strzok said in August 2016. “It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

The author of the dossier, former writer and British spy Christopher Steele, told Mother Jones magazine that he successfully urged the FBI to begin investigating the Trump team based on his memos. Republicans have ridiculed the bureau for trusting a paid agent of the Clinton campaign.

The House committee investigating the dossier are looking at the following:

Who funded the dossier and how its information was spread by paymaster Fusion GPS and then used by the FBI.
The Obama administration’s “unmasking” of the identities of private citizens caught up in surveillance of foreigners.
Recent misconduct inside the Department of Justice and the FBI

Attorney General Jeff Sessions just dropped a bomb on Barack Obama when he rescinded a letter issued by the former president that deals with how local courts penalize defendants.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is rescinding a letter issued by the Obama administration that deals with how local courts penalize defendants.

Arguing it was an act of federal overreach, the White House’s top prosecutor is repealing an Obama-era Justice Department letter that called on chief judges and court administrators in every state to refrain from giving poor defendants expensive fees and fines, according to The Washington Post.

Sessions, in a prepared statement, explained he was doing away with “the long-standing abuse of issuing rules by simply publishing a letter or posting a web page.”

Western Journalism reported that Sessions repealed an Obama-era Justice Department letter that called on chief judges and court administrators in every state to refrain from giving poor defendants expensive fees and fines. In doing so, Sessions argued that the letter was an act of federal overreach.

Sessions explained he was doing away with “the long-standing abuse of issuing rules by simply publishing a letter or posting a web page.”

“Congress has provided for a regulatory process in statute, and we are going to follow it,” Sessions stated. “This is good government and prevents confusing the public with improper and wrong advice.”

Sent in March of last year, the Obama administration’s letter was meant to curb law enforcement from issuing fines to citizens as a means of generating revenue. The letter, which was sent to court administrators and chief judges in every state, noted that illegal collection of fees and fines had been receiving a lot of attention, and that the Justice Department had a “strong interest” in ensuring citizens’ rights were protected.

Since becoming attorney general, Sessions has revoked over two dozen Justice Department guidance documents dating back to the 1990s. The documents he has rescinded range from the Americans With Disabilities Act to ATF procedures. He has also restored the use of private prisons and has changed the Justice Department’s legal stances on issues regarding voting rights and LGBT people, placing him at odds with his immediate predecessors in the Obama administration.

In addition, Sessions has taken a strong stand against illegal immigration.

“The president is exactly correct about the changes we need to our immigration system,” Sessions stated earlier this month. “We have now seen two terrorist attacks in New York City in less than two months that were carried out by people who came here as the result of our failed immigration policies that do not serve the national interest-the diversity lottery and chain migration.”

“The 20-year-old son of the sister of a U.S. citizen should not get priority to come to this country ahead of someone who is high-skilled, well educated, has learned English, and is likely to assimilate and flourish here,” he added.
