Real News About a Fake Name
Former AG Loretta Lynch used an alias to send official email, and reporters offered to help spin that tarmac meeting.

We’re shocked — shocked — to report that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch used an alias to send official email. This was a common practice in Barack Obama’s administration. Lois Lerner, Eric Holder and even Obama himself used pseudonyms in official emails. Lynch’s attorney, Robert Raben, swears her practice was totally innocuous — to avoid “inundation of mailboxes” with spam and such — and that Justice Department staffers processing Freedom of Information Act requests were aware of Lynch’s alias.


Of course we all know that the Most Transparent Administration in History™ wasn’t, as its members insist, “scandal free,” but used aliases and other obstruction tactics to hide all sorts of unsavory and politically inconvenient things from the public. The most guilty of all was Hillary Clinton and her infamous private email server.

In Lynch’s case, the alias was revealed after Judicial Watch and the American Center for Law and Justice, two conservative watchdogs, obtained 413 pages of DOJ documents. Those documents revealed Lynch’s Elizabeth Carlisle’s coordination with other DOJ officials about how to spin her clandestine tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton in June 2016 — at the height of the FBI’s investigation into Hillary’s emails. Just days after the meeting in which Clinton and Lynch insisted they discussed their grandchildren, Lynch’s subordinate, FBI Director James Comey, announced that the agency had plenty of evidence to pursue Hillary Clinton but would not do so.

One of the main reasons was that pseudonymous Obama was guilty too. Shortly thereafter, Lynch also announced the DOJ wouldn’t pursue the Clinton Foundation for its shady relationship with the Clinton State Department, despite FBI recommendations.

Another part of the story here is the Leftmedia. Reporters for The New York Times, The Washington Post and ABC News all emailed Lynch to explain that tarmac meeting. In the words of Post reporter Matt Zapotosky, he was “hoping to put it to rest.” It’s not a stretch to read that as an offer to assist in the cover-up. What was that about the Post’s new motto, “Democracy Dies in Darkness”? And can anyone imagine the media ever putting the phony Trump/Russia collusion “to rest”?

Former President Obama’s attorney general, Loretta Lynch, used a fake name to cover up an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server, indicates an admission from Lynch’s attorney.

Lynch was caught conducting a secret meeting with Bill Clinton aboard a private plane on a tarmac in Phoenix last year as Clinton’s wife pursued the presidency and amid an ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private, unsecured email server, which she illegally used during her tenure as secretary of State. Soon afterward, the former attorney general reportedly used a pseudonym to coordinate a narrative about the meeting with Department of Justice officials, Chuck Ross at The Daily Caller reports.


Also shortly after the private plane meeting, former FBI director James Comey announced that agency would not pursue a case against Clinton, despite admitting he had enough evidence to do so. A month later, Lynch announced the DOJ would not investigate the Clinton Foundation’s relationship with the State Department during Hillary’s tenure, despite the FBI’s reccommendation to do so. The chain of events caused many to question Lynch’s motives, as it was also widely reported that Hillary planned to keep Lynch as attorney general had Clinton won the election.

Using an email account under a fake name, Lynch (a.k.a. “Elizabeth Carlisle”) coordinated with DOJ officials to respond to queries about the secretive meeting with the former president. Lynch’s attorney, Robert Raben, confirmed her use of an alias on Monday and said she used an email account under a fake identity to prevent “inundation of mailboxes.”

Using fake names was a common tactic among Obama administration officials to evade accountability. AG Eric Holder, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson all did so when serving in public offices during Obama’s tenure. Lois Lerner, an IRS official who has been suspected of using the tax-collecting agency to target conservative nonprofit organizations, is also thought to have used an email address registered to a pseudonym to conduct official business.

Reporters at The New York Times, The Washington Post, and ABC News were hesitant to cover Lynch’s secret tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton, according to emails between journalists and DOJ officials the American Center for Law and Justice recently obtained.

“My editors are still pretty interested in it and I’m hoping to put it to rest by answering just a few more questions about how the meeting came about,” wrote Matt Zapotosky, a reporter for the Post — which recently changed its motto to “Democracy dies in darkness” — in an email to a DOJ official.

The private attorney for President Trump calls out Obama-era Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

This comes after redacted emails were released relating to her controversial tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton last year.

Attorney Jay Sekulow appeared for an interview Monday, and slammed Lynch’s Department of Justice for trying to cover up and control the media’s narrative about the meeting and Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

Sekulow also pointed out the holes in former FBI Director James Comey’s story, and his claims he went public about Lynch’s meeting because of his duty to justice.

The documents were part of more than 400 pages of emails given to conservative watchdog groups who submitted a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the meeting.
