Trump-Russia scandal requires more evidence


This is in response to the editorial July 13, titled “The Trump-Russia probe is not a witch hunt.”

The editorial fails to identify a single piece of evidence of anything other than a meeting between Trump representatives and a Russian lawyer in which no information nor money changed hands. Nothing happened.

The Bee published a New York Times News Service report in 2015 on how the Russians obtained control over 20 percent of American uranium.

“Canadian records show,” the article says, “a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four undisclosed donations totaling $2.35 million. ... Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”

That $500,000 from the Russians to Clintons may be a violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution.

In response to the Clinton-Russia connection, did the Fresno Bee editors have anything as hysterical as the editorial on Trump-Russia? Not that I can find doing a search on the internet. They seem to have had no comment at all. Hypocrites.
