I once thought that the system can be changed from within, meaning we could 'vote' our way to freedom and justice. After a few years of wisdom, and a LOT of research, I've come to the realization that no amount of voting is going to change the rules of the game. Think about it for a minute... We have been doing the 'voting' thing for more than 250 years now and look where we are today. If voting really changed anything don't you think we would have seen a change by NOW?
For those of you who still believe your vote counts here are a few things I'll bet you didn't vote for and neither did anyone else...
When was the last time you 'voted' for billions of tax dollars to go into drones? How about paying for the drone attacks? What about the F35 and that $400 BILLION dollars that keeps crashing? Did you vote for that? Did you vote to send almost $5 billion to Israel last year AND provide them with the offensive weapons used against the Palestinians? Did you vote to pledge $212 million to Palestine to rebuild it? Then vote to NOT send it to them? Did you vote to send more troops to the Ukraine? Along with tanks, planes, and ammunition? Did you vote for sanctions against Russia and to freeze the bank accounts of anyone who does business with Russia? Well except for the large companies like Google, GM, FORD, Lockheed Martin, and other military contractors... Did you vote for tax breaks for Wal-Mart so they don't have to pay ANY taxes and can still pay their employees minimum wage? How about for your politicians to accept 'campaign contributions' from Walmart so minimum wage isn't increased? Did you vote for your politicians to make MILLIONS of dollars in stocks, bonds, and for their children to get scholarships to the best schools in trade for their vote on Iran, Iraq, and the war in the Ukraine?
Did you vote to spend over $50 billion remodeling GITMO last year? How about on the more than $25 million that is spent on GITMO every year to torture people? The US currently has enough nuclear weapons to blow up the entire planet 10 times, did you vote for yet another 100 nuclear weapons to be built last year? Did you agree to send 12 of them to Israel? Were you aware that Pakistan, India, and Russia have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the Earth a few times, receive American tax dollars? Did you vote to fund ISIS 5 years ago as a 'tool' to fight Al Qaeda? Do you realize your tax dollars are STILL going to ISIL through the oil pipeline in Afghanistan?
You can vote all the different people into the corruption you want, it isn't going to change the corruption... it just adds more ways to be corrupt.
